How to Judge Honey Crackles

Even colour when cooked. No burnt parts or leaked mixture outside the patty pan.

There should be minimal butter/honey at the bottom of the patty pan when cooked. The cornflakes should be evenly coated. The sugar should be well dissolved and not noticeable or grainy in the mixture.

Cornflakes should be crisp and fresh, while a good quality honey should be used for a better flavour. Fresh butter (not margarine) should be used, butter that has been in the fridge too long can become rancid.

Using good quality honey and fresh ingredients such as butter and cornflakes will provide you with a better taste.
